Restaurant Review: Dai Due (Austin, TX)

For dinner, we met up with one of my colleagues from the Seattle office who was also in town for the conference, and we had dinner at Dai Due (YelpWebsite).

They are a butcher shop with some seating for their restaurant. I loved the decor. We got a cute booth for the three of us.

Grilled whole pompano

Frilly Mustard and Arugula Salad with Buttermilk Dressing

FRIED CHICKEN PLATE!!! Fried in beef tallow :3 The biscuit was overdone though.

Avocado tomato radish salad with fried crickets (that we saw all over Austin!)

Wild Boar Confit in Bone Broth with Apples, Radishes, Chilies, Basil, Cilantro (delicious!)

Pumpkin and Café de Olla Profiteroles

Sweet Potato and Pecan Layer Cake with Brown Butter Frosting

Canteloupe and Lime sorbet

Ummm everything was incredible. I loved everything and if we lived in Austin, it would be a regular spot for us (as they change the menu regularly). The fried chicken was outstanding (so so good), and I especially loved the fish and boar, and the sorbet was super refreshing.

Bottom Line: Highly highly recommended! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!!
